Results Round 2 UKSRL Summer Series 2007

Venue: Perranporth - Cornwall

Surf: Choppy 4~6ft

Please find below the results of Round 2 UKSRL Summer Series 2007

May we take this opportunity to thank the Perranporth RNLI Beach Lifeguards and Perranporth SLSC members for the provision of a Jet Ski with Sled and an IRB as safety cover.

The venue of Perranporth provided a surf of 4 - 6ft face height with a 23mph cross/offshore winds and heavy rain...........conditions could be described as "challenging".

Our admiration goes to the Mens and Womens crews and their Sweeps who decided to take on the sea conditions and all should be congratulated upon stepping up to the mark. It takes courage to row a 210kg surfboat through surf, knowing a ton of water could drop on your heads at any moment.

To those crews who decided to row another day, we say thankyou for staying and supporting the participating crews and we look forward to competing with you at Watergate Bay on the 13th July.

The BBC filmed the UKSRL Round 2 for the forthcoming Seaside Rescue series and the lifeguards wearing head cams tell me that their should be some awesome footage.
